Who We Are
Founded in 2022, Nuclavis is a mobile technology and services company serving nonprofit organizations of all sizes. We develop digital strategies, mobile apps, and custom software solutions to support peer-to-peer (P2P) fundraising programs. With a combined 60+ years of experience working in and serving nonprofits, our roots run deep in P2P.
Our team is comprised of incredibly dedicated individuals, each of whom brings a unique set of skills and talents to the table. We are passionate about providing a stellar experience for our clients and their fundraisers. Kathy Kempff
CEO & Founder
Kathy brings 20 years of experience in the nonprofit P2P space from both Convio (Blackbaud) and Charity Dynamics. She leverages her software development experience to bring innovation to this market. She’s designed white-labeled mobile app solutions, with 1 million+ users/year raising $750 million for nonprofits. She is an innovator, combining creative thinking and technology to solve problems and provide strong ROI. She’s had the privilege of serving a majority of the top 30 P2P programs.

Heather Ipson
Solutions Architect & Partner
Heather is a knowledgeable and talented software developer. She has managed the development and support for many web and mobile applications, including many in the charity space. She has been highly effective in leading development teams to successfully complete software projects. She is perfectly at home in the cloud and is very proficient in architecting and managing systems there. She is familiar with building secure software that adheres to industry standards such as HIPAA, PCI, and SOC and has helped many teams become compliant with these standards.

Teryl is a skilled developer with experience in a multitude of phases of software development, including design, development, testing, and maintenance. She has extensive experience with frontend and backend programming, mobile app development, database development, and cloud development. She has a passion for building maintainable software for individuals and companies that meet their goals and strategies.

Kendra Porter
Director of Operations
Kendra is a seasoned director of operations focused on client success and internal team management to ensure we meet and exceed expectations.
She’s a strong planner, problem solver, and metric driven who readily adapts to change. She’s able to juggle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
Trained in Six-Sigma and Lean philosophy for problem solving and operations optimization. Versatile history of working in the hospital & health care industry. Skilled in Healthcare Consulting, Physician Relations, U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Team Building, and Administration.

Noel Beebe
Director of Client Strategy
Noel brings over 20 years of digital fundraising experience to the Nuclavis team. She began her career at Convio, Inc., where she helped world-class organizations raise millions of dollars through Convio’s online fundraising tools. She oversaw the Constituent Events Digital Fundraising team at the Alzheimer’s Association from 2012 to 2021. Most recently, Noel has served in a consulting capacity to organizations seeking to grow their traditional, DIY, and livestream peer-to-peer fundraising programs.
When she’s not helping organizations use technology to raise funds and change the world, Noel enjoys hiking, baking, and spending time with her family in Austin, TX.

Maria Manu
Marketing Coordinator
Maria holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media Studies. She specializes in content creation, digital marketing, and brand management, while her love for the written word has made her a skilled writer.
Maria has a strong passion for non-profit work, with a current focus on that providing educational scholarships to children in developing countries. Beyond her work, she is a passionate blogger and a dance enthusiast.

Karla Castillo
Marketing Design Coordinator
Karla Castillo is a Marketing Design Coordinator with four years of experience in the nonprofit mobile app space. Karla specializes in deployments of mobile apps and post-launch support. Karla is a powerful force in the workplace and uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to ensure the success of her clients.
She was born in El Paso but moved to Austin shortly after. She loves Austin and hasn’t left since then. In her free time, Karla likes to spend time with her family and enjoys creating party decorations with her Cricut.

Brenda Castillo
Quality Assurance Engineer
Brenda joined Nuclavis as our Senior Quality Assurance Expert to make sure we are providing the best experience for all clients and participants.
Born in El Paso, but really an Austinite at heart, Brenda enjoys listening to music, including Karol G and Bad Bunny, collecting pennies and skeleton keys, and has been to Kenya five times with Moja Tu. Benda is a caretaker at heart, always wanting to help others.

Video Production Coordinator
Dinel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film Technology and Theatre Arts. Her areas of expertise include digital marketing, film creation, videography, and editing.
She enjoys using her skills to help organizations in the non-profit sector. Aside from work, she enjoys listening to music and reading books.

Esther Kitheka
Accounting Coordinator
Esther is a certified public accountant (CPA) with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from Kenyatta University. She has experience in the public sector having served in the Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning in the past.
Here, she was part of a team that carried out major government development projects including World Bank projects. She also has experience in the non-profit finance sector and is currently serving as the Director of Finance and operations at Moja Tu Organization, a non-profit organization based in Austin, Texas that aims to provide educational scholarships to children in developing countries.
